Successful Stamping and a Surprise Gift

Well, after yesterday's stamping bungle, I have to say I'm very happy with how today's turned out.  It is just a much better day!  Hurray!

Just a little reminder as the Catalog Year is getting close to ending, if you love any of the 2015-2017 In Colors (shown below) I recommend getting them now.  They have a tendency to start flying off the shelves as soon as people realize the time is near.

I'm personally going to miss Watermelon Wonder.  I just think it is so pretty!

So, today's cards are made with Watermelon Wonder cardstock and ink.  On one card I used Whisper White for the base color and stamped the Watermelon Wonder full strength.  On the other I stamped on Very Vanilla and stamped off once.

Recipe:

Watermelon Wonder - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White / Very Vanilla - 5" x 3 3/4"

Ink:
Watermelon Wonder
Pear Pizzazz
Memento Black

Stamps:  Avant Garden (Free SAB set) and Wetlands for the sentiment.

This design could be used for any need.  Birthday, Thank You, Sympathy, whatever you may want.

  1. I usually prefer vanilla cardstock to a white one but today I just can't decide. Both cards are great. Maybe it is the full stamped version on the white vs. the stamped off version on the vanilla - I just can't decide which I prefer. Even all the other details can't make up for the difference. So you have a preference?

    1. I actually think I prefer the Very Vanilla, which isn't usually my choice, but it just seems to appeal to me more for some reason. Plus, I didn't add the extra dotty stamping on the White because it felt more balanced, but now I'm thinking it needs the additional color.
