Jolly Season

Check out this fabulous Jolly Season Santa's Sleigh and Reindeer silhouette.  Isn't it perfect for flying across the night sky?  The trees and presents are part of the Holly Jolly Christmas Stamp Set and come as a bundle with Jolly Season.

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick card stock - 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at  5 1/2"
Basic Black for Santa's Sleigh
Whisper White for stamping gifts and trees
Whisper White cut randomly to make hills.

Start by punching a post it note (making sure to punch into the sticky part) and place it onto the Whisper White Thick card base.  I used a retired 1 1/4" circle punch, but you could use a die from the Layering Circles dies.

Sponge the top of the card with Pool Party, sweeping across from side to side.  Be sure to start OFF the card and sponge onto the card.  This will keep the heavy ink blots from being directly on the card.

Sponge over the Pool Party with Bermuda Bay to get to the color you want.  Then with a spritz bottle or your aqua painter, splatter bits of water onto the card to make "snow".  Set aside to dry while stamping and prepping the gifts and trees.

When tried, it will look like falling snow.  So pretty!

Pop up the Sleigh with mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  The black ones from the Holiday Catalog are perfect for this.  Sadly I thought of that after I'd used the little white ones!    The black ones work so much better for hiding.

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Wednesday!

  1. Wow, this has a lot going on! So fun! I have not seen many cards using this bundle I don't think. I want to try some sponging of sky in some different colors for some cards.

    1. Thank you Chris! I love the way this came out. Try the sponging, it can really leave a great image and when you pull off the round post it note, it's like wow! Almost like watching the embossing powder turn when heated! LOL
