For the Birds Nest

Today I'm sharing another card we made at Lorri Heiling's Spring Extravaganza.  I just love how cute this turned out!

The stamp is from "For the Birds".  We stamped it twice, coloring and cutting out the little bird.  Then we cut into 1/8" wide strips some Crushed Curry and Baked Brown Sugar.  You may be thinking, "why didn't they use the fringe scissors?" and I thought that too, but the fringe is a little wider and was really too wide for the little nest.  Roll the little strips up in the palms of your hand to crumple them up a bit and then adhere them to the nest with a hot glue gun.

Add your little colored bird by cutting a Stampin' Dimensional in half and stacking it together to make it sit up a little higher off the paper.  Don't forget to color the little heart in the thought bubble!

Pop up the whole thing with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This particular card is square, but you could certainly do the design with the standard size card.

Papers used are:  Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Whisper White.  The DSP (Designer Series Paper) is Best Year Ever from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Don't miss out, SAB ends March 31st!

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Fabulous Friday!!
