Painted Blooms - Fast and Beautiful

Certainly you've seen others do this with the Painted Blooms Designer Series Papers.  The most beautiful sheet of DSP I think I've ever seen from Stampin' Up!

If you can bring yourself to cut this beautiful paper into smaller pieces, you can make 6 very fast cards from this one sheet of 12 x 12 DSP.  You'll only need some card stock and favorite stamps and ink and you're all set for some fast crafting.  Matter of fact, you can make 12 - since there are 2 pieces of this paper in each pack of paper.  Remember, you can always buy more paper (at least until the end of the catalog which is June 2nd)!  So don't be afraid to cut it up!

Click on each picture to enlarge them to make them easier to see.

Begin by cutting your paper length-wise at 4 inches each, then cutting from the top down, cut at 5 1/4 inches.  You'll have a little left over at the bottom that can be used on other cards if you choose.

Here are the top three pieces from the 12 x 12:

Pick your favorite cardstock colors - I used Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz and Blackberry Bliss.  Cut them to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and score at 4 1/4"

Don't forget to put some Whisper White inside cut to 5 1/4" x 4" for stamping or writing a note.

Here are the bottom three pieces from the 12 x 12:

Stamp with whatever sentiments you like and you're all ready to finish off your cards.  You'll notice the bottom cards have less stamping space so you may want to stamp onto Whisper White Paper and then punch out or die cut your sentiments to pop up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
