Recipe:
Whisper White Thick card stock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Designer Series Paper (I used Tutti Frutti) 4 1/4" x 2 1/4"
Melon Mambo - Daisy Delight Stamps and Punch
Melon Mambo - Ink
Daffodil Delight - 1/2" punch
Basic Black - 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon
I wanted the ribbon to just be on the front of the card and since I only had the base of the card and the striped panel I decided to attach it to the striped panel. So I used a piece of Tear & Tape across the very top and then put the ribbon onto the Tear & Tape.
On the back of the striped panel place a little more Tear & Tape to wrap the ends of the ribbon around to the back. Then it all attaches to the bottom of the card.
Thank you for looking in today! Happy Hump Day!

I made 3 birthday cards using this idea too! I used the Painted with Love DSP though and made my flower to match. I used cardstock instead of the ribbon. I think they turned out really pretty. I am hoping Beth will put hers on her blog and I will let you know so you can see how it worked. I have problems with white space but I left it alone! I love yours with the stripped DSP. If I did the ribbon I would have done it like yours as I don't like to have it inside that much. Fun colors. I gotta learn how to do these photos. I had to laugh as I put one in the mailbox to go out as I still wasn't feeling totally up for a walk to the PO. He pulled it out of the box and then flipped it over to see the flap! Then, back over to see the address and then he smiled. I don't know if he knew I was looking out the window or not! I assumed he approved!

That's great that the mail carrier gave it the once over. Sounds like he liked it giving it a smile. Very cool!
DeleteI didn't like the white space at the top, so I put some Jewels. I wasn't crazy about their placement, but it was late last night and I just couldn't find a fit.
I've got a lot of DSP that needs to be used, I may need to do a Stamp-a-Stack or something to use it up.
