New Embossing Mats for Thinlits Dies

Have you checked out the new embossing mat yet?  These mats allow you to use any of our Thinlits Dies and turn them into embossing tools.  The one I used here below is the same one that I used for my Team Swap at the end of June.  You can see that one here.  Instead of cutting like I did on the swap card, I used it to emboss.  This takes a little practice, but only because every Big Shot can be a little different so you have to figure out what works best with yours.

Recipe:
Blushing Bride - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White Scraps for Butterfly.

Watch the video here from Stampin' Up! on how to use these great mats.  If you are reading this in an email, you may need to go to my blog to see this video.

I used a sponge dauber and Blushing Bride inkpad to gently sponge the butterfly.  Remember to add some bling!

Thank you for looking in today! Stay safe and remember to fly those American Flags in honor of America's Birthday!

  1. I ordered these last night. I hope they work as good as in the demo for me. I had seen the video the other day and though this might be what my one customer is trying to achieve. There are several things I want to play with but I was good and ordered just them and a blender pen replacement and then the actual blender pens to try and get proficient in using. Glad to know they worked for you. The card is really pretty.

    1. You will want to practice, so be prepared to ruin some paper to get the look you want. With my Big Shot I added an extra piece of whisper white on top of the whole thing before sending it in. Every Big Shot seems to be different on pressure.

Have fun with it and with your blender pens.
